The Total
body home gym from Dynagym home gyms, is a foldable,
gliding, body weight against resistance type gym.
Like the MEGA Trainer, its another knock-off of
the more famous Total Gym 3000 but only a little
over half the price. It's cheaper than the MEGA
Trainer (but about 6" shorter too).
Dynagym
home gyms claim you can do up to 74 different
exercises.
Reviews
of the Dynagym home gyms, claim that a lot of
the exercises are either awkward or very similar
to each other, but you will most likely never
do that many. Don't be discouraged however, because
when you go to your regular club gym, you have
a whole building full of machines and would usually
do no more than 12 to 15 different exercises.

Pros
for the Dynagym home gym equipment
Cheap,
small, light, foldable, plenty of possible exercises,
you can add extra weight. On even cheaper models
of these type of gyms you can't add weight which
means you will soon find many exercises too easy,
they also
come with workout programs and video and re-usable
workout charts.
Cons - for the Dynagym gym equipment
There
is no back support for exercises done in a sitting
position, no head support for exercises done in
lying, the angle of resistance for regular exercises
are different from standard type gyms and so can
feel a little strange at first, the DynaGym home
gyms Total Body (not the MEGA Trainer or Total
Gym 3000) is too short for anyone over about 5'10"
to 5'11". The makers say 6'1" but it
probably won't be very comfortable.
Overall - Dynagym gym equipment
Gliding gyms are actually
used as therapeutic tools in thousands of hospitals
across the U.S., however, if you want to lift
heavier and do specific exercises that aren't
really possible with the gliding, body weight
as resistance type gym, then you may need to look
elsewhere other than Dynagym home gyms.
If you are new to resistance
training and not ready to commit to a more expensive
gym then this may be the ticket. Or if your interests
are in toning and not necessarily building huge
muscles then again you will probably find everything
you need in the DynaGym home gyms Total Body Home
Gym - Dynagym home gyms equipment range.
