Fit Exercises
This is
different to anaerobic
exercises. Aerobic exercises will get you
into oxygen debt and help burn off fat with

The
American College of Sports medicine on aerobic
exercises
When
you exercise really hard, you breathe more heavily.
This starts the aerobic process within your body
and your immediate available energy source (which
usually starts with the sugar based store of energy
called glycogen), is converted to energy for that
muscle activity.
If you continue to exercise
hard in the same session, you will (eventually)
use up that immediately available glycogen energy
source. If you continue to exercise even beyond
this in the same aerobic exercises session (assuming
you're not too tired to continue), then your body
will need to find another source of energy - this
is when your amazing body will convert fat, stored
in your body, into energy. Long distance marathon
runners typically experience this around the 17
mile mark and it is often referred to as "hitting
the wall". It is the moment when your body
has run out of gylcogen energy levels and has
not yet converted the fatty acid based energy
store. The good news is that you can train your
body to prepare for this moment - but it's still
a dodgy time for novice runners.
I know that the above is
a very simplified summary of the actual process
caused by aerobic exercises that is going on in
your body, but you should get the picture.
So,
if you start your aerobic exercises regime with
only moderate levels of sugar (glycogen) based
energy in your body, then you will reach the fat
burning level more quickly. So the less sugary
based foods, the faster the fat burn.
The
other good news is that your body can be trained
to start burning up fat even before your sugar
based (glycogen) levels are depleted. This won't
happen immediately and you will need to keep at
your aerobic exercises for weeks before things
start to change.
Broadly speaking, aerobic
exercises can help more with weight loss - anaerobic
exercises help less (they tend to build muscle).

Examples of aerobic
exercises are:
Aerobic classes that can
be dancing to music or step dancing (fast movements).
Treadmills
Exercise bicycles
Ski machines
Air gliders
Jogging and running
Sports such as racquetball and handball
